Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLR)

Liberty State Park Station – Direct access to venue
Connects JC, Bayonne, Hoboken

Weekend Service: Currently the only public transit option that goes directly to Liberty State Park on weekends. Service can be infrequent with potential 30-40 minute waits.

Purchase tickets at station kiosks or via the NJ Transit app. Random fare checks occur – fine is $100 for riding without a validated ticket.

Transportation Tips

  • Liberty State Park is large – be prepared to walk from transit stops to the event area (potentially 0.5+ miles)
  • Allow extra time for travel, especially on weekends when PATH and Light Rail can have long wait times
  • Consider staying in Jersey City to minimize transportation challenges

Traveler Tip: West New York/Weehawken is an excellent location for those planning to visit both Jersey City and NYC. These areas offer more affordable accommodation with convenient access to both the Light Rail (for Liberty State Park) and Port Imperial Ferry (for quick trips to NYC).
