I started playing Pokémon GO on day one in 2016, came back strong in 2023, and never lost the love of being outside playing with my cousin. Our community launched in April 2024, and I joined that summer to build a Discord — then started hosting meetups as we grew.
My favorite Pokémon is Mareanie, my GOAT frfr, especially its shiny. Outside the game, I’m usually skating, exploring nature, finding new music, or cooking.
What keeps me here is the community. After experiencing how welcoming the Edison group was during GO Fest 2024, I wanted to help bring that same energy to my hometown of New Brunswick. Almost a year in, I’ve loved meeting new players, building friendships, and creating memories — and I’m excited for everything still ahead. 💙

I’ve been a day‑one Trainer, starting on July 6, 2016. I launched my Campfire group in November 2022 and became an Ambassador in December 2024. My favorite Pokémon is my first shiny, a Snorunt nicknamed “Chivers”.
Exploring and hiking are my favorite ways to play. I love discovering new places, learning about their culture, and seeing which Pokémon show up in different biomes. Finding something like a Wiglett at Belmar Beach never stops being cool. Pokémon GO blends everything I enjoy—nature, biology, the environment, and the thrill of discovery. The game also gives me the perfect balance of community and solo time.
I may seem outgoing in big groups, but I really value my quiet moments. When I’m ready to be social, I check in on my community and make sure everyone’s having a great time. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, I also enjoy meeting the wide variety of people this game brings together.

I started playing on Day 1, with a few breaks along the way, but I’ve been playing heavily again for the past few years. I created our community during GO Fest Global when Mega Rayquaza dropped, so many people were out playing that I knew our area needed a local group. Within a year, it grew into what it is today.
Magikarp is easily my favorite Pokémon. It’s misunderstood, often overlooked, but with patience and care it becomes incredibly strong. Plus, its shiny is said to bring good luck. Outside of Pokémon GO, I love gaming and still play on console, and I’ve even streamed from time to time.
Why do I do this? For the smiles. Seeing people relive the excitement of 2016 and come together again is what motivates me. Players often tell me how this community has helped them socially and even led to long‑lasting friendships. The memories we make push me to keep growing the group. This role has also made me a better person, giving me leadership skills I use beyond the game. Being there for the community is an amazing feeling.
